SHINYANGA FOUNDATION FUND (SFF)Shinyanga Foundation Fund (SFF) is a Non-Governmental Organization registered in Tanzania in the Ministry of Home affairs with registration No SO 10029 in September 02nd, 1999. SFF's overall vision is to build capacity of People in community for the Prevention of HIV, Malaria, and Governance and to promote the use of natural resources aimed to reduce poverty. Mission is to develop participatory plan with grassroots community, CSO’s and LGA’s on Policies, Budgets and any other matter arising to reduce poverty. The main objective is to build capacity of the community on HIV and malaria prevention and Governance through dissemination of materials and training in Shinyanga region. SFF currently operates in seven districts of Shinyanga region with the project of the training decision makers and youth on sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) aimed to prevent HIV to youth and implementing the project of Strengthening, transparency, accountability and responsiveness (STAR) in Kishapu and Kahama districts. TANZANIA NETWORK OF WOMEN LIVING WITH HIV AND AIDS (TNW+) TNW+ is an acronym for Tanzania Network of women Living with HIV and Aids TNW+ is the first network of women in Tanzania for and run by HIV positive women which started its operation in Nov, 2004 ( under registration S.O. NO. 13146) TNW+ was formed by HIV positive women from 4 NGOs and 19 CBO’s for women respectively. Currently there are 35 member groups and 350 orphans. The main aim of the organization is to ensure HIV positive women are visible and that their voices are heard. The Vision of TNW+ envisions a Network of women living with HIV/ AIDS in Tanzania through Psycho-social support, economic empowerment and access to essential services. The Mission is to promote the voice of Tanzania women and orphans with HIV/ AIDS, hence promoting Greater involvement of women and children living with HIV/ AIDS, at all levels. The overall Goal of the TNW+ is to reach out to an increasing number of women living with HIV/ AIDS and their families to benefit from effective program intervention that fulfill their rights and aspiration by 2010. Human Development Trust (HDT)HDT was founded in 2003 and registered in February 2004. It operates in four regions (ten districts) and works at national level on policy advocacy. At the grassroots and national level HDT’s vision “societies were health is a community priority, where rights of children, women and old people are respected in all undertakings”. The mission is to pioneer and develop new standards of substantive equality for men, children youth and older people through working with communities and their organizations. HDT works in Mbeya, Kagera, Mtwara and Dar Es Salaam. Three interrelated programs are implemented across all program areas which are Service delivery, Capacity building and policy advocacy. NETWO+ - National Network of Tanzanian Women with HIV/AIDS NETWO+ was formed in December 2002 in order to facilitate the establishment of effective linkages between women living with HIV/AIDS in Tanzania individuals, groups and organizations that support women with HIV/AIDS related needs. Besides, to reduce the lack of support and information for these women, to make sure that their voice is heard and that they participate in democratic activities. TAWG - Tanga AIDS Working GroupThe Tanga AIDS Working Group (TAWG), launched in 1992, is a non-governmental organization dedicated to care about people with AIDS and to reduce the spread of HIV. Their main objectives are, to provide home-based care and support people living with AIDS and their families, to collaborate with traditional practitioners, to prevent the spread of HIV / AIDS through community-based education programmes, furthermore to provide guidance and assistance to other organizations working on Aids. SIKIKA Sikika (formerly known as Youth Action Volunteers) is a Non-Governmental Organization registered in Tanzania in the year 2000. Sikika's overall vision is a Tanzania where healthy and responsible citizens enjoy equitable, affordable and quality health services as their basic right. Sikika empowers citizens to smoothly interact with health service providers through enhancing active community engagement, transparency and accountability within the district health systems. Sikika also works with Parliament and key central Ministries to influence the national health plans and budgets. Through joint action, the poor and marginalized are empowered to voice their own concerns and participate in poverty eradication interventions. We believe that everyone has the right to live a life of dignity and so we work to secure those rights in rural and impoverished areas of Tanzania. We focus our work in the areas of education, agriculture and food security and HIV/AIDS.
